The Las Grutas de Tolantongo resort is located in the state of Hidalgo in Mexico. Las Grutas de Tolantongo is located in central Mexico, between Mexico City and Puebla. The resort features a cave system that has been used by humans for thousands of years. The caves were discovered in the 1960s by archeologists who found evidence of human habitation from as far back as 12,000 years ago. Today, visitors can tour the cave system and even bathe in its pools.
